UP10TION’s Bitto has been confirmed with COVID-19 after appearing on a music show, starting a stir.
On Nov 30, the group’s agency TOP Media announced, “Bitto was tested for COVID-19 when he was notified that he was someone who came into close contact with a patient. And on the morning of Nov 30, he was confirmed with the virus.”
“All artists and staff who had contact with Bitto are currently being tested, and we will follow the health authority’s guidelines,” they added. “UP10TION will cancel all future schedules, and we will do our best to manage artists and go under strict quarantine.”
The agency apologized, “We sincerely apologize to all broadcasting officials and related staff for continuing our activities without recognizing that our artist was in close contact with the confirmed patient.”
Bitto has recently performed in MBC’s Show! Music Core and SBS’s Inkigayo. With this shocking news, other groups have also been put on alert.
BTOB 4U, IZ* ONE’s Minju, NATTY, STAYC, WOODZ and Norazo have decided to get tested for COVID-19.
