VERIVERY members showed their excitement in entering the Billboard chart for the first time.
According to Billboard, VERIVERY’s 5th mini-album G.B.T.B. debuted at No. 44 on the Digital Song Sales chart. It also debuted at No. 1 on the World Digital Sales Song chart. The Digital Song Sales chart ranks the best-selling digital songs in the United States, and the fact that it shows a fierce competition among artists makes the group’s achievement all the more meaningful.
Hoyoung said, “This is the first time we won first place, and I want to thank all our VERRERs (VERIVERY’s official fandom) first and I thought that we should work harder. We will work harder so that we can show only good things from now on. Once again, I sincerely thank everyone.”
Gyehyeon said, “I’m so happy to be on Billboard for the first time since our debut. I hope this will be a gift-like first place to all the Jellyfish staff members, hair, makeup, stylist staff, and our most beloved VERRERs.”
Yeonho said, “I think this was possible thanks to everyone who supported us. The fact that our name VERIVERY was put on Billboard makes my heart overflow with joy. We will show you how we can improve.”
Yongseung said, “When I first heard the news, it was so sudden and unimaginable that I was actually puzzled. I’m really grateful and proud that our VERRERs presented us with such an amazing gift. We will continue to show you VERIVERY that shows better music and performance, so please show us a lot of interest and love.”
Kangmin said, “First of all, I’m most grateful to VERRERs. I really want to say thank you VERRERs for always keeping VERIVERY’s side. I’m also really thankful to our members who are always with me when I’m having a hard time and when I’m happy. I might not be perfect yet, but I’ll always work harder to show you how I improve. So please keep your eyes on me in the future.”
VERIVERY’s latest smash “G.B.T.B.,” the title track of their 5th mini-album released on October 13, stands for “Go Beyond The Barrier.” It delivers a hopeful message of overcoming obstacles and eventually facing a new beginning together. VERIVERY made it to the top 10 on iTunes Album Charts in 15 countries, including the US, the UK, Germany, Japan, France, Australia, Thailand and Hong Kong, and has achieved unprecedented success such as ranking 4th on US Pop Songs and 9th on general chart.
