SHINee’s Key and Girls’ Generation Taeyeon will join Amazing Saturday – DoReMi Market as fixed members.
According to multiple industry officials, “Key, who is an original member of Amazing Saturday, has been discharged from the military and will rejoin the show as a fixed member. Hyeri, who has been a part of the show for three years, will leave the show and Taeyeon will take her place.
Girl’s Day Hyeri’s agency Creative Group ING previously confirmed that she will be leaving Amazing Saturday at the end of November after nearly three years as an original cast member.
tvN’s flagship weekend variety show Amazing Saturday first premiered on April 7th, 2018, and has been receiving lots of love and support. In each episode, a market from South Korea is featured. Within it, there are 3 types of food selected as its representatives. The cast and guests, as contestants, have to play games and win to be able to enjoy the food.
The original cast lineup of Amazing Saturday consisted of Key, Shin Dong Yeop, Boom, Kim Dong Hyun, Park Na Rae, Moon Se Yoon, and Hyeri. After enlisting in the military last March, Key temporarily left the show. Almost immediately after his military discharge, Key appeared on ‘Amazing Saturday’ as a guest.
Key’s close friend Taeyeon will be joining the show as a new member. Taeyeon, who is a rumored “Amazing Saturday mania,” appeared on the show as a guest with fellow bandmate Sunny last August and also guest starred on the show’s 100th episode special this past March.
