[Weekly TV Top 10] Park Bo Gum and Lee Dong Wook Dominates the Small Screen

Tale of the Nine-Tailed, in which Lee Dong Wook transformed into one sexy gumiho, successfully attracted viewers with higher viewer ratings than the previous drama Flower of Evil from the very first episode, while Park Bo Gum’s Record of Youth is steadily gaining popularity. Record of Youth, which has been released through Netflix, landed at No. 7 on the popularity chart (according to flixpatrol), receiving much love in Korea and overseas. These two dramas captivated the viewers with their unique stories of romance combined with traditional Korean tales and realistic portrayal of youth. The Dramas on 2nd Week of October 2020

With the end of Stranger 2, Record of Youth has soared up to No. 1 again. Many said that the realistic depiction of the entertainment industry raises the immersion in Park Bo Gum’s growth story. tvN’s Tale of the Nine-Tailed, KBS’s Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol, and JTBC’s Private Lives joined the viewership competition side by side on the same day. Amid keen interest, Tale of the Nine-Tailed took the lead, receiving positive reviews about the perfect visuals and chemistry between Lee Dong Wook and Jo Bo Ah. Many also showed favorable reactions to the story based on Korean folk tales. Do You Like Brahms? ranked third for three consecutive weeks, but many said they were disappointed as, for some reason, the story started to revolve around Park Ju Hyun instead of the main characters. As for 18 Again, which came in fourth, people showed negative reactions to the reason behind Kim Ha Neul and Yoon Sang Hyun’s divorce and to the anachronistic divorce story.
