Sera, who made her debut as the leader of K-pop girl group Nine Muses, belatedly revealed why she resigned from her position as a leader before leaving the group.

Former Nine Muses member Sera appeared in MBN’s Miss Back, a program to help revive talented but forgotten idols.

Sera, who left the group after her contract ended in 2014, started her interview by saying, “The world has changed a lot since then. At the time, we had to do what we were told.” Recalling her first broadcast, she added, “I had to put on garter belts. That was the first time I even heard that word. I saw myself and our highschool members wearing that, and I just couldn’t stop crying.”

She continued, “I had to go to the bathroom to cry, stay there for about an hour, then come out to film for about 10 minutes, and go back in to cry more. And after that, I was forced to step down from my position as a leader.”

Sera then confessed that she has been receiving treatments for her panic disorder since last year. In particular, in the video, she was seen waking up in the middle of the night to eat late-night snacks. Sera added, “I don’t remember any of that. This is one of the side effects of the meds I’m taking at night,” shocking everyone.

When Baek Ji Young asked her if she would be okay with this being broadcast on TV, she answered, “I hope people with panic disorder see me and feel a bit better.”
