IDOLCHAMP held a vote for about 10 days from August 21 under the theme of “Idols Who Satisfied You 200% with Their Musical.”
Many talented idol members have challenged musicals. Now, numerous leading K-pop stars, including NU’EST’s Ren and ASTRO’s MJ (debut with ‘JAMIE’), VIXX’s Leo (debut with ‘Marie Antoinette’), Super Junior’s Kyuhyun, who has been participating in musicals for more than 10 years, have become prominent musical actors.
On this vote, EXO’s Suho landed at No. 1, beating NU’EST’s Ren by a narrow margin. Super Junior’s Kyuhyun and SEVENTEEN’s DK followed the list.
Suho made his musical debut with the musical The Last Kiss and received favorable reviews for his excellent singing and acting skills. He has since been cast as Gwynplaine in The Man Who Laughs, and showed outstanding performances.
Suho once said, “I’m doing various activities as a singer and actor, and I love them both. Especially, musicals are like a ‘gift set’ because I get to sing and act altogether.”
