Are You Ready for Gong Yoo, Yoon Eun Hye, and ‘Coffee Prince’?

In the summer of 2007, Han Gyul- Eun Chan couple from Coffee Prince filled the small screen with their heart-fluttering romance. And the summer of 2020, they are back.

In front of Gong Yoo, who was waiting for an interview, Yoon Eun Hye made a surprise appearance. Sitting in the same cafe they filmed Coffee Prince, the two actors caught up on old times.

Though the awkwardness between the two was apparent at first, the “Han Gyul- Eun Chan chemistry” was brought out slowly as they recalled their Coffee Prince memories. When Yoon said, “I want to work hard and run a little more,” Gong Yoo sweetly replied, “Like Eun Chan? She left me (Han Gyul) and went abroad to study.”

The two look back on their memories while watching the collection of the best scenes prepared by the production team. Gong Yoo added, “Watching this with Yoon Eun Hye, it feels like we became an old couple looking at a wedding album.”

The two also thanked those who missed Coffee Prince, saying, “A lot of people are imagining that the two are living happily together somewhere.” Gong Yoo, who explained that he was actually reluctant at first to star in the drama, picked Yoon Eun Hye as the person who made him into Han Gyul.

Besides Han Gyul- Eun Chan couple, Han Sun-Yoo Joo couple (Lee Sun Kyun, Chae Jung Ahn), and Ha Rim-Sun Gi “bromance” couple (Kim Dong Wook, Kim Jae Wook) also showed up to recall their memories and talk about what it was like working with each other.

MBC’s Coffee Prince documentary will air two episodes at 10:40 p.m. on Sept. 24 and Oct. 1 KST.
