So Ji Sub has donated yet another 100 million KRW (about 86,033 USD) this year.
Good Neighbors, an international relief and development organization, said that So Ji Sub has donated 100 million KRW to help underprivileged neighbors ahead of Chuseok (Korean thanksgiving holiday). His donation will support food kits, COVID-19 preventive hygiene products, and winter supplies so that elderly people living alone in the welfare “dead zone” can have a warm holiday.
Earlier this year, the actor contributed 350 million KRW (about 301,171 USD) to Good Neighbors to support those who are suffering from the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In March, 5,820 medical protection suits were delivered to medical staff in Daegu and 2,000 children from low-income families were also provided with daily necessities kits with So Ji Sub’s donation. Then in April, he also supported smart devices to a total of 145 underprivileged children.
So Ji Sub’s good deeds have continued steadily since 2006 when he started helping heavy rain victims. In 2017, he was also listed in the “The Neighbors Club,” a special Good Neighbors membership for members who sponsor more than 10 million KRW a year.
