Jessi and Lee Seung Chul will join Mnet’s CAP-TEEN as judges.

CAP-TEEN aims to provide opportunities to those who dream of becoming a K-pop idol and nurture them into the next star. Mnet said, “CAP-TEEN is an audition program to find the new teen K-pop stars like Sunmi, Taemin, and IU. It is different from previous auditions in that parents ask judges directly about their children’s potential as singers and receive evaluations.”

Given the nature of such programs, the role of judges is more prominent than other audition programs. As Lee Seung Chul and Jessi have officially joined the project, expectations for their chemistry with each other and with the teenagers are growing rapidly.

Jessi said, “I also came to Korea alone at the age of 15 to fulfill my dream of becoming a singer. I will give you the best advice in my own style, as these teenagers hit me close to home.”

Mnet’s CAP-TEEN is scheduled to premiere in November.
