New movie Oh! My Gran, which is released today (September 2), ranked first in ticket sales among all Korean movies.
According to the Korean Film Council, Oh! My Gran topped the list of Korean films with a reservation rate of 27.7 percent (as of 9:40 a.m. KST).
Oh! My Gran is about Moon Hee, a granny with Alzheimer’s disease and the only witness to the hit-and-run accident, and her son Du Won tracking down the culprit with the little evidence and Moon Hee’s might-be-meaningful gibberish.
The fact that 79-year-old actress Na Moon Hee challenged her first action genre made headlines, and Lee Hee Joon’s comeback as a friendly and charming character drew attention.
