IU continued her charitable streak by providing ice vests to frontline nurses nationwide.

IU donated 4,600 ice vests worth 100 million KRW (about 84,423 USD) to the Korean Nurses Association through Community Chest of Korea’s “Fruit of Love” charity on August 31.

The Korea Nursing Association plans to send ice vests donated by IU to clinics and medical institutions across the country for nurses suffering from the heat while wearing protective clothing at the COVID-19 testing sites. Since June, the Korea Nursing Association has been delivering necessary items to clinics and medical staff around the nation.

Meanwhile, IU, the icon of good deeds, donated 200 million KRW (about 168,852.60 USD) in February to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
