TREASURE, YG’s biggest rookie group, has seen a steep rise in their popularity since their official debut on August 7.
According to YG Entertainment, the number of subscribers to TREASURE’s official YouTube channel surpassed 2 million at 12:00 p.m. on August 29 KST. This is about 700,000 increase in less than a month since their official debut.
The music video for TREASURE’s “BOY” also exceeded 30 million views on August 26, 19 days after being released on YouTube.
Considering the fact that their first album THE FIRST STEP: CHAPTER ONE was released less than a month ago, their popularity is undoubtedly impressive.
TREASURE is the group introduced by YG Entertainment for the first time in 4 years since BLACKPINK and has been noted for their global market approach from the start. Upon its release, “BOY” topped the iTunes Top Song Chart in 19 countries, Japan’s Line Music chart, and China’s QQ chart.
Meanwhile, TREASURE confirmed their comeback and is known to be filming their new music video.
