Lee Seung Gi and his agency expressed their strong wills against the haters.
On August 28, Lee Seung Gi’s agency Hook Entertainment stated their official position regarding the ongoing legal action against malicious commenters.
“Of all the suits we’ve filed so far, one malicious commenter was sentenced to pay a heavy fine of 5 million Won by the Daegu District Courts on August 19, 2020. In addition to the fine, we are also considering civil suits for compensation of damages and pursuing to keep criminal and civil actions against malicious commenters until the end,” they stated.
They also continued, “For all other cases where the individuals have been identified, the prosecution has placed them on wanted lists as they went into hiding. There were also cases when the family members would appeal for leniency, but we plan on proceeding with legal action without any agreement.”
Hook Entertainment finished by saying, “We will continue to take all possible legal measures to protect our artists’ reputation, and we will do our best to take strong legal actions for a sound Internet culture.”
