The late Goo Hara’s mother strongly disagrees with the “Goo Hara Law” and claimes that the misunderstandings surrounding her are groundless.

Recently, Goo Hara’s biological mother had an interview in the latest episode of TV Chosun’s Report Seven (literal translation).

She said, “My son doesn’t know anything about my past. I didn’t leave the house because I was having an affair. I have a lot to say, but I’m choosing to stay quiet. I have been suffering financially and physically.”

“My son is saying that I am unilaterally demanding money, but that’s not true,” she continued, and stressed that she “doesn’t agree with the ‘Goo Hara Law.’”

As for a reason she hired a lawyer right after her daughter’s death, she claimed, “I was my sister’s idea.” She added, “The moment I was lamenting and crying at the hospital’s funeral hall, I got a call from my sister, and I was advised to visit a lawyer she knows.”

When the show contacted the sister, she agreed, “I told her to contact the lawyer since the law states inheritance is shared equally among parents.” She went on to say, “Of course everything has to follow the law. Kids are not born alone. All inheritance should be shared equally.”
