Writer Jo Yong, who wrote the script of recently-ended drama It’s Okay to Not Be Okay, praised Kim Soo Hyun.

In a recent written interview with a media outlet, writer Jo Yong expressed his love and gratitude for the actors.

She said, “I can’t even imagine Kang Tae played by someone else. I don’t think I’ll ever forget the crying and begging scene at the end of episode 9 to the point where I wonder if there’s an actor who matches blood, sweat, and tears better than him.”

“After seeing him freely and perfectly change his colors to match every scene, even the scenes like playing innocent, acting cutesy, or talking gibberish after being drunk, I was in awe with the fact that he is a kind of actor who gives pleasure in writing for the writer” she continued. “I was especially impressed by the way he acted with such an amazing sense of dynamics, going beyond his character and even balancing the entire play.“

Meanwhile, It’s Okay to Not Be Okay gained unrivaled popularity, topping the popularity chart for the drama category for 8 consecutive weeks. It depicts a fantasy fairytale-like love story of a psych ward community worker who refuses to love under the weight of heavy life and a fairytale writer who doesn’t understand love.
