ITZY’s Ryujin shared her candid thoughts.

On August 18, a video titled “Letters to MIDZY” was uploaded on ITZY’s V LIVE channel.

In the video, each member shared their honest feelings about being a member of ITZY. Among them, Ryujin’s words drew keen attention.

She said, “We practice almost for our performance a lot. Among all the compliments we hear after showing our best performance, things like ‘your performance seems difficult for a girl group,’ ‘it looks too straining for a girl group,’ or ‘too cool to be girl group’s performance’ don’t really sound like a compliment.”

“Honestly, it feels like they’re saying, ‘it’s better than what I expected.’ Of course, I say thank you because they said it with good intentions, but it doesn’t feel good. I want you to see it as it is. I hope you feel and think about it just the way you see it, like ‘looks cool’ or ‘they were great,’” she added, sharing her honest thoughts.

Meanwhile, ITZY released their new mini-album Not Shy yesterday (August 17). The title track of the same name expresses honest feelings racing toward love.
