On August 14, Netflix confirmed the release of The School Nurse Files and unveiled the character posters.
The School Nurse Files is a six-part cheerful fantasy series about school nurse Ahn Eun Young, who has the ability to see “jelly” that no one can see, coming upon an unusual mystery at her newly appointed high school and solving them with Hong In Pyo, a Chinese character teacher.
It is directed by Lee Kyung Mi, director of Crush And Blush and The Truth Beneath, and is written by Jung Se Rang, the author of the novel of the same name and a famous novelist who won the Changbi Prize in Novel and the Hankook Ilbo Literary Award.
Unlike others, Ahn Eun Young has a special ability to see the “jelly” created by the residue of desire. Hong In Pyo, a Chinese character teacher with a unique energy, appears in front of Ahn Eun Young, who noticed that an unusual mystery is hidden in her newly appointed school, and the two join forces to fight all kinds of jelly to protect students and schools.
Ahn Eun Young and Hong In Pyo are played by Jung Yoo Mi and Nam Joo Hyuk. The released posters show the two of them surrounded by colorful jelly. Ahn Eun Young, who has continued her lonely fight, looks at the world of jelly that only she can see, while Hong in Pyo, the grandson of the founder of the school, enters her world with a sense of responsibility for the school and curiosity.
