Movie Deliver Us From Evil, starring Hwang Jung Min and Lee Jung Jae, was pre-sold in 56 countries around the world.
According to CJ Entertainment, Deliver Us From Evil was sold to 56 countries, including the US, Germany, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Japan.
They added, “After the release in Taiwan on the 12th, we are confirming the release dates in other countries too. We are receiving enthusiastic responses from overseas buyers even when the global film market is frozen with the COVID-19 pandemic.”
An official from US distributor Well Go USA said, “Deliver Us From Evil is a film full of actions from the beginning to the end, and veteran actors like Hwang Jung Min and Lee Jung Jae clearly stand out. From eye-catching action sequences and constant tension to beautifully filmed lyrical scenes, the movie is heartbreaking but tough to the bone.”
An official from Taiwan’s distributor Cai Chang said, “I had confidence in the two main actors even before I decided to distribute the movie. After watching the movie, I realized that the movie is not just a fancy action movie but a work that delivers deep emotional echo.”
Deliver Us From Evil is a hard-boiled chase action that depicts the desperate pursuit and struggle of In Nam (Hwang Jung Min), who gets caught up in a new case because of his final contract killing mission, and Ray (Lee Jung Jae), his ruthless pursuer.
According to the Korean Film Council, Deliver Us From Evil, which was released on the 5th, attracted more than 2.7 million moviegoers as of yesterday (August 13).
