Wednesday-Thursday dramas cannot seem to break away from its slump.

According to Nielsen Korea, the 5th episode of MBC’s Chip In, which aired on August 5, recorded 2.9 percent and 3.2 percent viewership nationwide. This is a slight rise from 2.4 percent and 2.8 percent recorded in the previous episode.

The 19th and 20th episodes of KBS2’s Into the Ring recorded 2.6 percent and 3.1 percent, showing similar figures to Chip In. The 9th episode of JTBC’s Was It Love? once again stayed in the 1 percent range by recording 1.826 percent viewership.

As the slump of Wednesday-Thursday dramas continued, some media outlets predicted that the broadcasting stations might make a hard choice of canceling Wednesday-Thursday dramas until they find a great solution.
