While Irene & Seulgi made their debut as a unit group on July 6, SM Entertainment made another “huge mistake.”

Irene & Seulgi’s first mini-album Monster was released at 6:00 p.m. on July 6 KST. The title track “Monster” tells the story of an immortal monster who enters people’s dreams and dances and plays.

The release of the song and album sales were smooth. However, the music video for “Monster,” originally scheduled to be released at 8:00 p.m. KST, wasn’t released until midnight without any announcements. It’s natural for the label to announce any delays, but SM Entertainment was quiet till 2 minutes after the day has changed.

At 0:02 a.m. KST, SM Entertainment wrote on Red Velvet’s official twitter, “Irene & Seulgi’s ‘Moster’ music video will be released at 12:00 p.m. on July 7 KST. We ask for your understanding that the release time was delayed from the original schedule.”

Music fans expressed their anger as this is not the first time that SM Entertainment has made the same mistakes.

“You guys make the same mistake every time.”

“This has got to be done on purpose.”

“Guess they don’t think the music video is that important.”

Meanwhile, Irene & Seulgi’s first mini-album Monster topped iTunes’ Top Album charts in 45 regions, including Canada, Spain, France, Thailand, and Hong Kong.
