BLACKPINK‘s new song “How you like that” music video is creating a global sensation, surpassing 57 million views on YouTube in just 12 hours.
This is the highest record set by any K-POP girl groups and the best record of BLACKPINK. It’s twice as fast as the record set by their hit song “Kill This Love,” which hit 30 million views in half a day and 100 million views in 63 hours.
Besides, BLACKPINK attracted 710,000 people during their “BLACKPINK Global Press Conference: How You Like That,” which aired live via YouTube, proving their global impact.
Fans who have long awaited BLACKPINK’s comeback responded enthusiastically. As of 7:00 1.m. on June 27 KST, their pre-released title song “How you like that” topped Korea’s six major music charts and topped iTunes song charts in 60 countries, including the US. This is the best record among all K-POP girl groups.
Major foreign media outlets, including Billboard, Time, Forbes, and Variety, are also paying keen attention to BLACKPINK’s new single.
BLACKPINK will start their promotional activities with NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on June 26 and first have their performance in Korea through SBS’s Inkigayo on June 28.
