Actor Woo Do Hwan will join the army on July 6 to fulfill his mandatory military service.
His agency KeyEast announced on June 24 that Woo Do Hwan will join the army on July 6.
Later the same day, Woo Do Hwan left a handwritten letter on his Instagram. He wrote, “I know you must have been surprised by the sudden news, but I am writing this letter because I wanted to personally announce this to my fans first. I am enlisting on July 6. I’m just sorry that I don’t get to say goodbye, personally. I was happy while doing every project, thanks to the overflowing love everyone showed me. Thank you for watching over my 20s and loving me. Thanks to you all, I got to spend my 20s very happily. I hope that you will be healthy and happy during these difficult times. I will return in good health and say hello again with even better performances. I love you so much and feel so thankful that I cannot express it fully in words.”
There will be no special event. The location and time of enlistment will stay private for safety reasons.
Woo Do Hwan will officially begin his military service after completing basic military training. He will be discharged from the army on January 5, 2022.
