Uhm Jung Hwa will return to the big screen after a long time. The upcoming film, Okay! Madam, starring Uhm Jung Hwa and Park Sung Woong, has confirmed its release in August.
Okay! Madam is a special action comedy in which a couple, who are caught up in a plane hijacking incident on their first overseas trip, go on a rescue mission using their hidden strengths.
The two released posters grab the attention with costumes that show off different personalities, ranging from Hawaiian shirts to crew uniforms, bulletproof vests, and training suits. At the same time, it heralds the comic synergy of Uhm Jung Hwa, Park Sung Woong, Lee Sang Yoon, Bae Jung Nam, and Lee Sun Bin.
In particular, the movie is drawing expectations as the return film of Uhm Jung Hwa, who won the 48th Baeksang Arts Awards for Best Female Actress with Dancing Queen and the 50th Daejong Film Festival with Montage. She will play the role of Mu Young, the owner of a twisted breadstick store in market street.
Uhm Jung Hwa said, “I was able to film pleasantly with the actors’ brilliant ideas every moment, and the time we spent together is an episode that will remain in my memory for the rest of my life.”
Park Sung Woong, who showed a broad spectrum of acting from the sharp charisma in New World to the cute, unexpected charm in Inside me, played Seok Hwan, an immature husband who only knows his wife, Mi Young.
The first trailer of Okay! Madam will be released for the first time at 6:00 p.m. today (June 22) KST.
