Red Velvet‘s Irene and Seulgi will finally be making their unit group debut.
SM Entertainment said on June 22 that Irene & Seulgi will release their first mini-album MONSTER on July 6. MONSTER includes a total of six tracks. The songs will present various moods, including the title track “MONSTER.”
They have also released a teaser video. It catches the eye with a sensual video of a mysterious atmosphere, raising the expectations for the upcoming album.
The reaction is already hot. This is the first unit group of Red Velvet in 6 years since their debut in 2014. Irene & Seulgi have already proven their chemistry through collaboration and OST.
Before their debut as Red Velvet, the two were the first unit group to come out of SMRookies as SR14G Seulgi & Irene. At that time, their energetic yet sensuous performances drew much attention.
An official said, “Irene & Seulgi is Red Velvet’s first unit group. The perfect combination of vocal, performance, and visuals will provide a different level of music and performance,” raising the expectations.
