In the latest episode of Backstreet Rookie, the story of Ji Chang Wook and Kim Yoo Jung unfolded in earnest, capturing both laughter and empathy.

The second episode of SBS’s Backstreet Rookie, which aired on June 20, recorded 3.7 percent to 6.8 percent viewership. Also, during the highlight scene, the viewership soared up to 8.2 percent in the Seoul metropolitan area and 7.3 percent nationwide, topping the viewership among all mini-series aired on Saturday.

The figure is up from the previous episode despite the controversy over its sexually suggestive content. At the end of the show, Choi Dae Hyun (Ji Chang Wook) and Jung Saet Byul (Kim Yoo Jung) danced a couple dance, and their cute and lovely chemistry exploded, putting a smile on the viewers’ faces.

Meanwhile, KBS2’s Once Again garnered 23.1 percent to 28.8 percent viewership, while TV Chosun’s King Maker: The Change of Destiny recorded 4.903 percent viewership.
