As Pledis Entertainment was acquired by Big Hit Entertainment, SEVENTEEN will also not perform on MBC’s Show! Music Core stages.
According to new1, SEVENTEEN will soon release their new album and start their full-scale promotional activities, but Show! Music Core will not be one of them.
SEVENTEEN will release their 7th mini-album Heng:garæ on June 22 and begin their full-fledged activities with the title track “Left & Right.” However, they will not perform on Show! Music Core.
This is interpreted as the aftermath of the conflict between Big Hit Entertainment and MBC. It was reported earlier that the two sides has been at odds over the artists’ appearance at the MBC Music Festival in late 2018, and since May last year, none of the Big Hit Entertainment’s artists appeared on Show! Music Core.
And since Pledis Entertainment joined Big Hit Entertainment last month, it seems like SEVENTEEN will also avoid Show! Music Core.
