As Controversy Over TWICE’s Shocking Encore Performance Spread, Their Footage of Practicing in Waiting Room Draws Attention

As TWICE was embroiled in a controversy over their poor singing during an encore stage, a video of their vocal practice is drawing attention again.

On June 15, a post titled “TWICE Main Vocal Practice Video” was posted on Instagram’s humor_ism account, drawing attention. The post contained a practice video of TWICE’s Jihyo and Nayeon, which was posted on YouTube channel “Archive TWICE” in June last year.

TWICE released “FANCY” last summer. The images of Jihyo, the main vocal, and Nayeon, the lead vocal, practicing in the waiting room before going on stage for a music show, are captured in the video.

In the video, Nayeon and Jihyo sang the chorus of “FANCY.” The two perfectly pulled off high-pitched chorus “You there, I fancy you, I don’t want just anyone, Hey, I love you (Love ya!), Yes, you, I fancy you, You can be happy like a dream, ‘Cause I need you (What?),” drawing attention.

Fans showed enthusiastic reactions:

“Listen to high they sing. Such pretty voice.”

“That’s really high. TWICE’s songs are all really high.”

“I felt bad whenever people said Nayeon was terrible at singing. Listen to this, you haters.”

“People only focus on the bad things. This is how they usually sound.”

“Momo, you should practice, too.”
