Lee Joon is expected to meet viewers through the small screen after three years.

ON June 15, Lee Joon’s agency, PrainTPC, told Dispatch, “Lee Joon is considering appearing in a new drama ‘The Silent Sea.’”

The Silent Sea is an eight-part Netflix original series. It is an SF horror drama about elite soldiers going to a research base abandoned on the moon, set in the future Earth, where water and food shortages have been caused by global desertification.

The series is based on the eponymous 2014 short film directed by Choi Hang Yong, which garnered attention at the Mise-en-scène Short Film Festival the same year.

Lee Joon was offered the role of Tae Seok. If he confirms the role, it will be his comeback in three years. Lee Joon got enlisted in the military in 2017 and was discharged last December. His last work was KBS2’s My Father is Strange, which was filmed in 2017.

Previously, Gong Yoo and Bae Do Na confirmed their appearances. The Silent Sea is scheduled to begin filming in August.

Meanwhile, Lee Joon is currently working as a radio DJ of SBS Power FM Young Street.
