IZ*ONE has declared a never-ending war against haters.
On the afternoon of June 11, IZ*ONE’s agencies, Off the Record and Swing Entertainment, announced, “IZ*ONE filed an additional complaint on June 8 against defamatory slanderous postings and those who spread false information.”
An official said on the same day, “We announced on the official channel on May 25 that we will file a second complaint against the writers of insulting slanderous postings and those who spread false rumors about IZ*ONE members for violating the Information and Communication Network Act (defamation) and contempt.“
“We later reviewed our own collected data and captured data reported by fans with Jipyong, a law firm, and filed additional complaints on June 8 against all the haters.“
According to the agencies, the malicious commenters who were subject to the complaint made sexual harassment remarks against IZ*ONE members on various social media and online communities.
Some comments attacked not only the members but also their families, causing them to suffer mental anguish. The agencies stressed, “There will be no leniency or agreement.”
They also added, “If the same thing happens again, we will not hesitate to file additional charges.”
