It was belatedly known that TWICE‘s Jeongyeon is suffering from a neck injury.

On June 8, TWICE’s Jeongyeon held a live streaming via NAVER V Live and revealed that she is suffering from herniated cervical disc.

During the streaming, Jeongyeon said, “I didn’t want to show that I was sick to ONCE (TWICE’s fandom), so I hid this and didn’t tell you. But since I’ve been putting on pain relief patches since then, everyone knows that my neck hurts.”

“While filming the music video for our new song ‘MORE & MORE,’ I felt numb to my ears, so I went to the disc clinic. I was treated for a week before the comeback when I learned that my cervical discs have been ruptured.”

“I couldn’t practice for my comeback because I was hospitalized,” she added. “After discussing with my agency, I asked for the broadcasting company for understanding and decided not to film direct cameras. That’s why my direct camera videos are not available.”

Finally, she said, “Now (symptoms for cervical disc) are much better. I got a shot at the hospital this morning. You don’t have to be worried. I’m trying hard to get better. I didn’t want to talk about it because I thought ONCE would be too worried.”

TWICE returned to the K-POP scene with their ninth mini-album MORE & MORE on June 1.
