BLACKPINK will make their big comeback in about a year and two months.
BLACKPINK will release their new song on June 26. This will be BLACKPINK’s return in a year and two months since “Kill This Love,” released in April 2019.
On June 10, YG Entertainment released a teaser poster on its official blog and announced BLACKPINK’s comeback. Besides the comeback date, no other information such as the title of the new song has been released yet.
However, the teaser poster stimulates the curiosity of music fans by contrasting blue-toned background and red letters.
BLACKPINK’s new song is a pre-released title track. After released a pre-released song in June, BLACKPINK will release two new “special” songs in July and August and will release their first full-length album in September. Since YG Entertainment is known to have put a ton of efforts in BLACKPINK’s comeback for a long time, global attention is being focused on BLACKPINK’s long-awaited return.
Meanwhile, Lady Gaga‘s “Sour Candy,” in which BLACKPINK participated in the featuring, entered the Billboard “Hot 100” chart at 33rd, setting a new record as K-POP artists.
