An employee of Nature Republic secretly took photos of NCT 127 filming for advertisement and posted them on his personal accounts.
On June 9, a writing was posted on various online communities, saying that a current employee of Nature Republic posted photos of NCT 127 that he took secretly and even badmouthed the members.
The writer wrote, “The current employee of Nature Republic filmed and uploaded the advertisement filming site of ‘NCT’ on his personal SNS account. There were not only spoilers of the ad that has not been officially uploaded yet, but also screenshots of him gossiping about the members via messages.”
In the released photos, members of NCT 127 are seen playing at the beach. There is also a photo of the filming site.
The person, who is believed to be a Nature Republic employee, shared the photos and even badmouthed them, saying, “Is this cosmetics company or SM? This is ****ing crazy.”
There is also another screen-capture that shows him sending the video that was being edited to his friends. And even joked about it saying, “His back is making me drool. This is the ****ing reality.”
Netizens were furious. They responded, “I can’t believe you are making fun of the singers behind their backs,” “Why would you film them having fun then slander about it?” or “So this is what you’ve been thinking while filming with them.”
In response, Nature Republic said, “It has been confirmed as a deviation of a staff member at the filming site. We sincerely apologize to NCT members and fans. We will check and improve so that something like this never happens again.”
