J-Hope‘s solo song “Hope World” made a new history, topping Chile iTunes Top Songs.

According to iTunes on June 7, “Hope World” topped the iTunes Top Songs in Chile on June 5. “Hope World” is included in the mixtape of the same name released by J-Hope in March 2018.

It is noteworthy that the Korean artist’s song topped the list two years three months after the official release, beating Chile’s latest hits released on June 4 and 5.

J-Hope said that he used Jules Verne‘s novel Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Seas as the motif for his song “Hope World.” The lyrics say, “Say hello to my Hope World/ This is my world, my own story/ I run 20,000 leagues under the sea.”

J-Hope’s mixtape, which includes “Hope World,” has not only drawn attention around the world upon its release, but is still loved steadily even two years and three months later.

The mixtape Hope World previously set a record of entering “Billboard 200“ for two consecutive weeks. So far, J-Hope is the only one who holds such a record.
