Upcoming drama Backstreet Rookie, starring Ji Chang Wook and Kim Yoo Jung, confirmed its first broadcast on June 19.

SBS’s new Friday-Saturday drama Backstreet Rookie will premiere on June 19. Backstreet Rookie is a 24-hour unpredictable comic romance drama between Choi Dae Hyun (Ji Chang Wook), a convenience store owner, and Jung Sae Byeol (Kim Yoo Jung), an eccentric part-timer.

In particular, the fact that the drama is the first Korean drama that global channel Lifetime has decided to invest in, expectations are already at its peak.

On June 6, the production team released the official posters for Backstreet Rookie. First, Kim Yoo Jung is holding Ji Chang Wook with a confident smile on her face, whereas Ji Chang Wook looks perplexed. In the second poster, all ten characters are shown.

Originally, Backstreet Rookie was scheduled to premiere on June 12. However, because The King: Eternal Monarch delayed one episode, the first broadcast was postponed one week. Will Backstreet Rookie be able to present popping romance in the midst of hot summer?

The first episode of SBS’s Backstreet Rookie will air at 10:00 p.m. on June 19 KST.
