EXO’s Lay to Drop His New Solo Album ‘LIT Part.1’ Today

EXO‘s Lay will release his new solo album LIT Part.1 today (June 1).

Lay will unveil his fourth solo album LIT Part.1 at noon on June 1 KST, through various music sites around the world.

LIT Part.1 includes a total of six songs that well combines the eastern music with western styles, including “Lit,” “Jade,” “Eagle,” “H2O,” “Fly,” and “Soul.” Also, the fact that Lay has participated in the production of the entire album was revealed, drawing keen attention.

In particular, the title track “Lit” is a song that tells the story from the viewpoint of Hang Woo, the main character in the Chinese play Farewell My Concubine. The rich stringed instruments such as a Chinese mandolin and the lyrics that express the king’s grand aspirations doubled the noble atmosphere. Lay participated in the writing, composing, and arranging of the song.

In addition, the music video for “Lit” was released at around 11:07 a.m. today KST through various channels. The grand scale of the video, cinematic beauty, and exciting melody lines catch both eye and ear of fans.

Meanwhile, Lay’s fourth solo album LIT uses previous life and posterity as motifs. The album consists of Part.1 with a genre of “M-POP(Mix-Mandarin-Pop),” whereas Part.2 introduces the modern and trendy music.
