Attention is focusing on whether Parasite will continue its winning race at the Grand Bell Awards.
On May 29, Grand Bell Awards announced that Parasite was nominated for 11 categories at the 56th awards ceremony hosted by Lee Hwi Jae and Han Hye Jin at the Grand Walkerhill Theater Hall in Seoul on June 3.
At the awards ceremony, which will be held privately due to the COVID-19 pandemic, five works were nominated for Best Film �” Parasite, Extreme Job, House of Hummingbird, Innocent Witness, and Forbidden Dream.
The candidates for Best Director are Kim Bo Ra of House of Hummingbird, Bong Joon Ho of Parasite, Lee Byung Hun of Extreme Job, Jang Jae Hyun of Svaha: The Sixth Finger, and Jung Ji Young of Black Money.
For Best Actor Award, Seol Kyung Gu from Birthday, Song Kang Ho from Parasite, Lee Byung Hun from Ashfall, Jung Woo Sung from Innocent Witness, and Han Suk Kyu from Forbidden Dream were nominated. Then, for Best Actress Award, Kim Hyung Gi from Innocent Witness, Kim Hee Ae from Moonlit Winter, Jeon Do Yeon from Birthday, Jung Yoo Mi from Kim Ji-Young, Born 1982, and Han Ji Min from Miss Baek were nominated.
Meanwhile, Ok Joo Hyun, Paul Kim, Park Bom, and 3YE will perform at the ceremony.
