JYP Entertainment has announced legal responses to DAY6‘s invasion of privacy.
On May 28, JYP Entertainment warned that they will proceed with legal actions if the violation of artist safety and privacy continues.
DAY6 recently suspended their activities as some of the members showed signs of distress. However, because DAY6’s privacy is still violated, JYP decided to take strong actions against them.
JYP stated, “Even though we have announced several times about the rules for the safety and privacy of artists, the artists are complaining of extreme stress as some fans’ actions continue to cross the line, such as visiting or waiting around the artists’ personal spaces.”
JYP is currently collecting evidence, including security cameras near the building. “If such behaviors are repeated by the same person, we can take legal action regardless of the cumulative number of warnings and blacklist’s application,” JYP said. “We sincerely ask for your cooperation so that DAY6 can show better performances through comfortable relaxation.”
DAY6 released The Book of Us: The Demon on May 11 and topped the music chart with the title track “Zombie.”
