‘The King: Eternal Monarch’ Sees a Slight Increase in the Viewership Amid Attention to Its Big Twist

The King: Eternal Monarch showed a slight increase in the viewership.

According to Nielsen Korea, the 12th episode of SBS’s The King: Eternal Monarch, which aired on May 24, recorded 6.1 percent and 8.1 percent viewership nationwide. These figures are 0.9 percent and 1.5 percent higher than the previous episode.

The drama, which showed a strong start with 11.4 percent viewership, cannot seem to break the 10 percent mark since then.

Meanwhile, in the latest episode of The King: Eternal Monarch, Yi Gon (Lee Min Ho) rescued Jung Te Eul (Kim Go Eun), who was in crisis, and announced her to be the Empress of the Korean Empire, heralding a further turmoil. Later in the episode, the fact that Goo Seo Ryung (Jung Eun Chae) Noh Ok Nam (Kim Young Ok) already knew about the parallel universe was revealed, shocking everyone.

At the same time, the love scene between Yi Gon and Jung Tae Eul is receiving enthusiastic responses from the viewers.
