‘Kkondae Intern’ Starts off Solid with 6.5 Percent Viewership + ‘Mystic Pop-Up Bar’ Begins with 3.6 Percent Viewership

MBC’s Kkondae Intern, starring Park Hae Jin, and JTBC’s Mystic Pop-Up Bar, starring Hwang Jung Eum and Yook Sung Jae, began their journey amid much attention.

According to Nielsen Korea, the first episode of MBC’s Kkondae Intern, which aired on at 8:55 p.m. KST, recorded 4.4 and 6.5 percent viewership. Then, the first episode of JTBC’s Mystic Pop-Up Bar, which aired on 9:35 p.m. KST, followed. It recorded 3.61 percent viewership.

Kkondae Intern, which topped the Wednesday-Thursday drama, began with the story of Ga Yeol Chan (Park Hae Jin), who was bullied by Lee Man Shik (Kim Eung Soo) in his intern days, making a hit with “Hot Chicken Noodle” after moving to a different company. Later, Lee Man Shik, who was ousted from his work, was seen becoming a senior intern in Ga Yeol Chan’s company, drawing attention.

In the first episode of Mystic Pop-Up Bar, Weol Ju (Hwang Jung Eum), a daughter who received the power from the mother, was shown entering people’s dreams to solve their problems for 500 years.

In addition, the chemistry between the three main characters, Weol Ju, Han Kang Bae (Yook Sung Jae), and Chief Gwi (Choi Won Young), is receiving favorable responses from the viewers.

Meanwhile, KBS2’s Fix You, which aired at 10:00 p.m. KST, recorded 2.3 and 2.63 percent viewership, plunging down to 2 percent range of viewership.
