SBS’s The King: Eternal Monarch, starring Lee Min Ho and Kim Go Eun, recorded its own lowest viewership.

According to Nielsen Korea, the ratings survey agency, the 9th episode of SBS’s The King: Eternal Monarch, which aired on May 15, recorded 5.9 percent and 6.3 percent viewership nationwide.

This is so far the lowest viewership recorded. Despite the kiss scene of the two lead characters, the drama cannot seem to shake off its sharp downward trend.

Recently, producer Yoo Je Won, who recently finished Hi Bye, Mama, was added to the production team amid the continuous decline, but the viewership failed to rebound.

The King: Eternal Monarch originally started with 11.4 percent viewership. With confusing development, ridiculous product placement, and sloppy visual effects, the drama has been severely criticized, which is proven by a continuous decrease in viewership.
