Movie-Drama Combined Project ‘SF8’ Finished Filming + Will Get Released in July

Eight films of SF8 have safely finished filming.

The crossover project SF8, produced by Soo Films in collaborations with MBC, Korean Film Directors’ Association (DGK), and Wavve, is an omnibus series directed by eight film directors into eight 40-minutes-long-episodes.

The filming of SF8 started with director Jang Chul Woo’s White Crow on February 21 and ended with Kim Eui Seok’s Human Proof on May 7.

Director Min Kyu Dong, the head of DGK, who is in charge of planning the entire project, said, “I am grateful that all directors have done their best to finish filming despite the difficult conditions in the middle of coronavirus pandemic.”

A total of 8 film directors have participated in the project, including Kim Eui Seok, No Duk, Min Gyu Dong, Ahn Kook Jin, Oh Ki Hwan, Lee Yoon Jung, Jang Cheol Soo and Han Ga Ram. They will cover various materials such as artificial intelligence (AI), augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), robot, game, fantasy, horror, superpowers, disaster.

Actors Moon So Ri, Lee Dong Hwi, Lee Yeon Hee, Lee Si Young, Uee, Hani, and Choi Si Won took part in the project.

SF8 will be pre-released on the OTT platform Wavve in July after a last-minute brushup and will meet with viewers through MBC in August.
