‘The World of the Married’ Child Actor Jung Joon Won Under Fire for Underage Drinking and Smoking

Child actor Jung Joon Won, who is currently appearing in JTBC’s The World of the Married, is buried in criticism for his underage drinking and smoking. To which, his agency apologized.

On May 10, Jung Joon Won’s agency, DAIN Entertainment, made an official statement about the issue and wrote, “First, our job is to manage actors, so we sincerely apologize for any inadequacy on our part in managing our artist.” They went on to say, “We will be more careful in managing our artists and prevent the recurrence.”

Recently, photos from Jung Joon Won’s Facebook account were posted on the online community. In the released photos, the child actor is seen drinking and smoking at a restaurant with his friends. Also, the picture of him trying to sell e-cigarette was made public, stirring up the controversy.

Jung Joon Won was born in 2004 according to his profile, which means that he is currently a 16-year-old minor. Not only is it illegal for him to smoke and drink, the restaurants that sold alcoholic beverages to him and his friends could face suspension of business.

He is playing Cha Hae Kang in JTBC’s The World of the Married, a teenage son of Cha Do Chul (Kim Tae Hyang), and his wife (Yoon In Jo).
