‘Knowing Bros’ Broke Its All-Time High Viewership with the Help of ‘Mr. Trot’ Cast + ‘The King: Eternal Monarch’ Set a New Lowest Viewership

Mr. Trot worked its magic once again. JTBC’s Knowing Bros recorded the all-time high viewership.

According to Nielsen Korea, the latest episode of JTBC’s Knowing Bros, which aired on May 9, recorded 15.523 percent viewership. This is a sharp rise from last week’s episode, which recorded 7.925 percent viewership, and also the highest ratings recorded in the five-year history of Knowing Bros.

Meanwhile, after falling to its lowest ratings yet the night before, SBS’s The King: Eternal Monarch fell even further in the latest episode. With the episode that aired on May 9, the drama hit 6.1 percent and 8.1 percent viewership nationwide. Despite the fact that romance between the main characters has started in earnest, the viewers are just not responding well.

KBS 2TV’s Once Again showed its steady performance by recording an average of 22.1 percent and 26.6 percent viewership nationwide, whereas tvN’s When My Love Blooms showed a stable average of 4.2 percent viewership for the night.
