Both ‘The World of the Married’ and ‘The King: Eternal Monarch’ Showed Slight Drop in Viewership

JTBC’s The World of the Married and SBS’s The King: Eternal Monarch both showed a slight decrease in viewership.

According to Nielsen Korea, the lasted episode of JTBC’s The World of the Married, which aired on May 8, recorded 21.087 percent viewership.

This is slightly down from 24.3 percent viewership, the hights recorded in episode 12 aired on May 2. However, even with the slight drop, the drama still remains No.1 in viewership among all dramas and entertainment shows aired on the same day.

In the recent episode, Ji Sun Woo (Kim Hee Ae) learned about her son Lee Joon Young’s problematic behaviors, including theft. Then at the end, the fact that Lee Joon Young (Jeon Jin Seo) witnessed his parents, who got divorced, making love was revealed, shocking everyone.

Meanwhile, the latest episode of SBS’s The King: Eternal Monarch, which aired on May 8, recorded 7.0 percent and 8.1 percent viewership nationwide. The drama surpassed 10 percent viewership mark by reached 10.3 percent on May 2. However, with the latest episode, the drama fell to its lowest viewership.

In the episode, the cooperation of Yi Gon (Lee Min Ho) and Jung Tae Eul (Kim Go Eun) started in earnest. By the end, Luna (Kim Go Eun) from the Korean Empire appeared, raising the tension.
