Between May 2nd and May 6th, one Twitter user made multiple death threats against Lisa by writing, “I’m going to shoot Lisa with a gun when BLACKPINK gets on their comeback stage. That will be the last time you see Lisa’s face.” After seeing the threats, BLACPINK’s fans have reported the Twitter account, and the account has been suspended.
After hearing about the threats, the Thai Embassy in Korea also revealed that they have relayed the information to YG Entertainment after receiving reports about Lisa’s death threats.
And on May 8th, YG Entertainment made an official statement regarding the issue. YG Entertainment wrote, “We are doing our best to protect our artists and their fans. We are aware of this incident and we plan to monitor and collect evidence and reports to take a strong action against the perpetrator without mercy.”
