Director Kwak Kyung Taek‘s new film Firefighter (literal translation), which faced many troubles due to COVID-19, has confirmed its final cast and will start filming in mid-May.
According to the movie industry on May 6, Lee Yoo Young, Kim Min Jae, Oh Dae Hwan and Lee Joon Hyuk will work together in Firefighter. As a result, the major cast of the film has been confirmed following Kwak Do Won, Joo Won and Yoo Jae Myung.
Firefighter tells the story of firefighters and their sacrifices.
Initially, Firefighter planned to begin filming by the end of March, but the schedule was delayed to April 16 in the aftermath of COVID-19, and again to May. In the process, actor Yoo Seung Ho dropped out of the production.
Despite such troubles, Firefighter reviewed the script and the production process in detail to better the result. Also, the time allowed the actors to further practice the fire drills they need to know for the movie.
Yoo Jae Myung will take on the role of the chief of fire marshall, while Kwak Do Won and Joo Won will lead the play as firefighters. Kim Min Jae, Oh Dae Hwan and Lee Joon Hyuk will also play the firefighters of the same team. Lee Yoo Young plays the role of a paramedic.
