According to Deadline, “CAA has signed Korean filmmaker Jung Byung Gil for representation.” CAA is one of the top three US agencies and represents Hollywood actors Brad Pitt and Tom Hanks, as well as Korean actor Lee Byung Hun and director Bong Joon Ho.

Formerly a stuntman, director Jung Byung Gil made his debut with Action Boys. He then directed his first feature film Confession of a Murder in 2012 and most recently directed the film The Villainess, which made its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in 2017.

Also, director Jung Byung Gil formed a partnership with Skybound Entertainment to produce The Villainess into TV series, which will be released through Amazon. It has been reported that Pom Klementieff, who was much loved for her role as Mantis in Guardians of the Galaxy, will star in the series.
