Directed by So Joon Moon, Shining Moment tells the story of Jeju’s best haenyeo (women divers) Jin Ok and documentary producer Kyung Hoon, who came from Seoul to cover her story. Go Doo Shim will lead the play as Jin Ok and Ji Hyun Woo will take on the role of Kyung Hoon.

In particular, Jin Ok is a character who had personally experienced Jeju’s painful history, and the fact that actor Goo Doo Shim, who is also from Jeju Island, will challenge such a role is raising the expectations.

Director So Joon Moon was recognized for his directing skills at several film festivals at home and aboard in 2007 for his film Auld Lang Syne, which was invited to the 31st Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival.

Released in 2011, REC has received favorable reviews for its delicate directing with visual irregularity and emotional story.

In addition to being selected as a film to receive supports from Korean Film Council in 2019, the film Shining Moment, which won the grand prize in a screenplay contest to revitalize Jeju Island the same year, plans to finish filming by June.
