While the report of a reporter of a broadcasting company joining “Telegram Nth Room” as a paid member stirred up the controversy, MBC said, “We immediately excluded the reporter from work.”

Related to the MBC reporter’s alleged attempt to join “Telegram Nth Room,” MBC made an official press release on April 24 that the company immediately excluded the suspected reporter from work.

They also added that they have launched an investigation to find the truth and will punish him accordingly as soon as the report is confirmed to be true.

Earlier, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency’s special investigation team on digital sex crimes reportedly found and booked the reporter on charges of giving so-called donations worth hundreds of dollars in virtual currency to Cho Joo Bin and his gang, who ran the “Telegram Nth Room.”

However, during an interview, the reporter denied all charges saying that he never joined or participated in the “Telegram Nth Room.”
