Actor Kim Min Jung won the lawsuit against the movie Tazza: One Eyed Jack (hereinafter referred to as Tazza 3).
According to Star News on the 24th, the court rejected all claims of about 4.5 hundred thousand dollars filled by MCMC, a co-production company of Tazza 3, against Kim Min Jung and her former agency, Great Company, for the restitution of performance fees and penalties.
Earlier in November 2018, MCMC filed damage suit against Kim Min Jung and her former agency, asking them to return the performance fees and to pay the amount used for re-filming in connection with Kim Min Jung’s leave in the middle of filming for Tazza 3. Originally, Kim Min Jung confirmed to play the role of Madonna in Tazza 3 and started filming in September 2018, but dropped out after a month of conflict with the production team. Later, actor Choi Yoo Hwa replaced the role.
At the time, Kim Min Jung reportedly was late in joining Tazza 3 for the production of Mr. Sunshine was delayed. But because actor Ryu Seung Bum, who played the lead role in the film, was only able to participate in the filming for about two months, the filming schedules got jammed, making Kim Min Jung to eventually drop out.
